Southerncross Saddlery was established in 1997, by Wayne Parker and Kevin Peatey. Wayne and Kevin have been handcrafting Australian Stock Saddles and Western Saddles for over 21 years and have also been working and riding horses for much longer than this and with this knowledge and know how they have been designing Stock Saddles which fit horses and rider.

For far to long saddles have been mass produced to suit budgets not horses or riders. Thus you would have a saddle that would fit a horse but not the rider and vice versa.

Southerncross Saddlery have built a successful business on custom making Saddles for all types of horses from station horses to competition horses through to show horses. Providing comfort and quality to horse and rider. Which allows horse and rider to perform as a partnership.

After 21 years of crafting Australian Stock Saddles Kev and Wayne also learnt that comfort and fit, whilst very important, is only part of the overall picture. They learnt that quality and workmanship plus a desire to have a satisfied customer is a critical part of delivering saddles.
